EXPLORING CAMBODIA!

Cambodia is widely known in Southeast Asia for its large plains, mighty rivers, and large temple ruins.

Cambodia’s main highlights for many visitors are the historical temples just outside the city of Siem Reap.

Ta Prohm and Bayon are some of the most visited temples in Cambodia, while Angkor Wat is considered one of the ancient Seven Wonders of the World.

THINGS TO SEE & DO

We all know that Cambodia’s claim to fame is its temples, but there are plenty more things to see and do that make Cambodia an incredible place to visit. Be sure to check out Cambodia’s other amazing wonders as well.

BEST TIME TO VISIT

Cambodia pretty much has two seasons: dry and rainy. The rainy season (monsoon season) typically occurs from May to November. This is when the precipitation can become pretty extreme.

Rain clouds will appear quite often, rain for about 15 minutes, then bring out the sun again. The dry season is usually from December to April. The weather is generally dry and hot, with little rain.

The best time to visit would be in the winter months, from Dec – Feb, when the weather is much drier and cooler. Keep in mind this is also Cambodia’s peak season, so expect high travel prices.

We planned our trip to Cambodia in April. The weather was very hot and dry, and we didn’t experience large crowds or expensive hotel costs. Little did we know that April happens to be the hottest month of the year, with temperatures reaching 36C (96F).

I would highly recommend visiting in April if you want to avoid peak season and don’t mind the high temperatures too much.
