How To Preserve Your Natural Beauty Products
Natural products can be pricy, you don’t want to end up throwing them away due to improper care. Check out below a few of my best practices when it comes to preserving natural beauty products and always remember “when in doubt, throw it out”!
Store products in a dry cool environment
You want to keep your products out of direct sunlight or areas that fluctuate in rising temperatures as this can cause them to melt or spoil. By storing them in a dry cool area this will increase there shelf life longer. Can’t escape the heat? Place your products in the fridge, this will certainly keep them nice and cool.
Keeping it Clean
Make sure you are practicing good cleanliness when it comes to handling natural products. Always wash your hands first before applying any kind of lotions or balms. Using dirty hands to apply your products only introduces bacteria which can then cause contamination & spoiling.
Less is more
Do keep in mind that natural products will have a shorter life span than your average commercial product. It’s always best to purchase natural products in small batches that way they are used up more quickly & remain fresh.
