The food here is amazing, I highly recommend coming hungry and tasting the many ethnic specialties.

Short North Arts District
The Short North Art District is centred on the main strip of High Street in Downtown Columbus, commonly known as the “Art and soul” of Columbus. It’s home to some of the most exciting and engaging public works of Art and Galleries. The public art is defiantly a must-see when strolling down High street. Here you will find the more popular annual Short North Temporary Mural Series, the iconic Mona Lisa Mural, and the Short North’s twist on Grant Wood’s iconic classic, American Gothic.
The Short North Gothic Mural
The Short North’s Mural Series is one of the most celebrated projects in the Art District, these murals capture your eye and stand out throughout the city.
Book Loft of German Village
The Book loft is certainly a favorite, the large 32-room bookstore is located just south of downtown Columbus in the historic German Village. The old pre-civil war buildings turned bookstore is certainly one of the village’s highlights. Allow plenty of time to lose yourself and explore the many windy rooms filled with new and used books.
Helpful Tip! Just in case you happen to get lost maps of the store are also available.
Breakfast at Katalina’s
The place is small, so if you’re thinking of grabbing a table inside, make sure you get there early, I would say before 9 am We went on a weekday around 9 am and managed to grab a seat by the time it hit 10 am the place was swamped. Parking is tight there are only 3 spaces at the front of the store there is a parking lot next door however, you do have to pay. We found parking a few streets over and walked, which is handy if you wanna save on parking.
We couldn’t leave without leaving our mark!
Dinner & Cocktails at Asterisks
For my Last night in Columbus, we decided to try out Asterisks supper club for dinner and drinks. This place truly makes you feel like you have stepped back in time with its floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and beautiful antiques. The antique bar located at the front of the restaurant displaying a range of alcoholic beverages is certainly a key feature of this beautiful restaurant.
If you’re looking for a fun night out along with some good comfort food, then this is the place. I highly recommend trying out their cocktail menu, Asterisks offer a range of diverse cocktails along with some original classics as well. Our favorite cocktail of the night was the Liquid Luck, made with blueberry green tea gin, Ohio maple syrup, lemon, egg white, and pepper. So delicious!
